Hearing changes gradually. Because the brain adapts, many people do not notice how much they have been compensating until an assessment makes it measurable. We assess hearing for adults and children and fit hearing aids to internationally recognised clinical standards.

How a hearing aid fitting works
A hearing aid works best when it is set to your own hearing results and the shape of your ear. At Trinity we check the sound the hearing aid actually produces in your ear against your prescription, following international fitting guidelines. There is an adjustment period while your brain gets used to new sound, and we see you for follow-up visits during that time.
Hearing aids do not restore normal hearing. They are a way of managing hearing loss that improves access to sound and reduces the effort of listening.
When to consider a visit
- You often ask people to repeat themselves
- Conversations are hard to follow in busy or noisy places
- Family members mention the TV volume
- You hear ringing or buzzing in your ears
- You work, or have worked, around loud machinery or noise
